Nice Community Schools Talk Budget
Budget talks were on the table at tonight’s Nice Community Schools Board of Education meeting.
At a regular scheduled meeting the board approved making a few minor changes to the budget for the 2011–2012 school year.
This is not an unusual practice for any school district and while they have made some strides throughout the budgeting process there is still more work to be done.
At the end of the 2010–2011 school year the district was predicting to have to make 2.5 million dollars in cuts.
As of today they are between 5 and 6 hundred thousand dollars.
The board also approved a service agreement with amcab for the Great Start Readiness Program.
