Lake Linden Teen Will Stand Trial
The case against a Lake Linden teen charged with breaking into numerous homes in the Bootjack Road area is headed to trial.
18-year-old Jakob Hill stood mute as the prosecution read three charges of 2nd Degree Home Invasion…each 15-year felonies…and one charge of receiving and concealing stolen firearms…which is a 10 year felony. By standing mute, the court entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf.
Police say Hill and 19-year-old Cody Schmidt of Minnesota are suspected in at least 20 burglaries in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
The trial is set to take place in April.
