Button Up This Winter

Times are tough across the country and across the U.P.

In an effort to help out some of the less fortunate this winter, ABC 10 is launching a coat collection program.

We’re calling it ‘Button Up’.

The St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Radio Results Network, the Mining Journal and Marquette Mountain are partnering with us in the program.

In fact, the ski hill is serving as the collection point for new and gently used coats.

And with the donation of a coat, you can get a $10 discount on a lift ticket.

The coat drive runs through December 23rd, and the folks at St. Vinny’s will distribute the collected items to needy families.

We’ll be telling you more about the program in the next few days, and the media partners who are helping to publicize the effort.
