Black Friday Bomb Threat Reward Growing
Police in Marquette are continuing to investigate the bomb threat that forced the closure of several businesses last Friday.
The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the incident is up to more than $2,200.
The reward effort started with $500 from the Mining Journal and a challenge to other businesses in the community.
Community donations have come from a number of sources, including some of the businesses affected by the bomb threat in Marquette and Marquette Township.
Walmart, Econo Foods, the Holiday Inn and the Westwood Mall have added to the reward fund.
Anyone with information related to the bomb threats is asked to call the Marquette police at 228–0400.
If you’d like to add to the reward fund, contact the Mining Journal at 228–2500.
