Stores’ & Customers’ Response to Bomb Threats
In light of the panic that bomb threats can cause, some local residents are relieved at what happened on Friday.
The manager of the Westwood Mall in Marquette Township is very pleased with how not only store employees, but customers, responded to the threats.
And she can’t say enough good things about what local police and fire crews did, either.
Ellen Sargent says the first responders did a tremendous job and helped make sure no one panicked.
Big–box stores were evacuated for about an hour and a half.
Sargent says it’s important to keep in mind that the threats don’t only affect the corporations that the stores belong to.
She says because of all the customers and employees that the bomb threats affected, she’s asking for whoever phoned in the threats to come forward and take responsibility.
