Menominee County Toddler Found in Park
A two-year-old is safe tonight after being found alone in a Menominee County park yesterday, but the case will now be investigated by a state agency.
According to the Menominee County Sheriff’s Department, a Cedar River resident found the little boy while jogging through the trails of Wells State Park just before 11am Central time yesterday.
The child was sitting in leaves alongside the trail.
The jogger took the child to the park ranger’s office, where a call was placed to 911.
Sheriff’s deputies found the child’s mother and return the child to her.
The case has been forwarded to the Michigan Department of Human Services.
