Lake Linden Man Charged in Break-In
A Lake Linden man was arraigned in 97th District Court today after being arrested for breaking and entering.
State troopers from the Calumet Post were called to a vacant residence on ‘A’ Street in Calumet Township Sunday after a report that someone was inside the home.
Police searched the house and found 32-year-old Duane Kangas hiding in a bathroom.
Troopers also say they found a pair of bolt cutters, a flashlight and copper wiring near where Kangas was hiding.
Kangas was charged with felony breaking and entering and could spend 10 years in prison if convicted. Bond was set at $100,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled in two weeks.
