Robbery Update: Public Asked for Help
The investigation continues into the armed robbery of the Northern Michigan Bank and Trust in Harvey Wednesday. Chocolay Township Police say more and new information is being received.
Thursday, several items believed to belong to the suspect were recovered. These items are being examined by the Michigan State Police Crime Lab.
Police are interested in talking with the drivers of vehicles seen in the area of the bank near the time of the robbery, at about 1:15 pm October 12. These vehicles were in the area just prior to or just after the robbery.
Police also want to speak with anyone else in the area of the Gateway Plaza just east of U-S 41 on M-28 between 1:00 PM and 1:20 p.m. the day of the robbery. They are especially interested in speaking to anyone who may have been behind the buildings or the rear parking lot area of the Gateway Plaza.
