Marquette County Board of Commissioners Approves Several Issues

A lot of general business was conducted at tonight’s marquette county board meeting.

The board approved several action items including…

Approval of the operating agreement for sawyers f–a–a contract for the air traffic control tower.

The commissioners also accepted the 2012 comprehensive plans and services contract.

As well as approval of both the application for county housing allocation and the person property tax resolution.

Another hot button issue that was not on tonight’s agenda but was still granted plenty of attention was the 2012 budget for the marquette county prosecutors office. The proposed cut to the prosecutors office budget is 280 thousand dollars.

But it may end up being a shift of 180 thousand.

The board of commissioners also held a budget work session this evening.
