Gwinn Fatal Assault Follow-Up
The Gwinn man who died after an assault last week has been identified.
In an interview this morning, Forsyth Township Police Chief Tim Rector told our media colleagues at the Mining Journal the man has been identified as 33-year-old Mike Hill.
Chief Rector told the paper that Hill died of asphyxiation.
Another police official told ABC 10 today that the full autopsy report is not expected to be released for several days.
The assault occurred at a home on Northernaire Street in Gwinn.
The death is not considered a homicide, but the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing it.
