Woman Runs Over Drunk Friend: Update
Authorities in Delta County have released the names of the women involved in a weekend drunk driving incident.
Escanaba Public Safety say they arrested 23-year-old Rhonda Watz on a charge of operating while intoxicated causing serious injury.
Officers were called to the 1100 block of 2nd Avenue North, where Watz allegedly got into an altercation with another person.
She then got into her car and drove off before her passenger could get in the vehicle.
The passenger, 23-year-old Amanda Pardee, was run over by the vehicle..
Pardee was taken to OSF St. Francis Hospital and then transferred to Marquette General, where there’s no information available on her condition.
Watz is in the Delta County Jail on $10,000 bond.
She was arraigned Monday and her District Court preliminary exam is set for June 30th.
