Powell Township Woman Missing

The Civil Air Patrol has been called in to help look for an elderly Marquette County woman missing near big bay.

81-year-old Abby Ann Johnson has been missing since about 10am Wednesday.

A ground search by Michigan State Police and Marquette County Search and Rescue is underway today.

The Powell Township woman is in the later stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

She was last seen with her son on Dodge City Road in Powell Township.

Her son was doing roadwork and walked away from his vehicle, and when he returned, the truck and his mother were gone.

She is believed to be driving a white 2000 GMC Sierra pick–up truck with a tan topper.

The Michigan license plate on the truck is BUZ7171.

Johnson is 81 years old.

She is 5’3″ and 150 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

The only information we have about her clothing is that she was wearing black pants.

Authorities have no information on which way she was headed, but finding the pickup may help find her.
