Tentative Settlement for OSF St. Francis & Nurses’ Union
A new agreement between the Michigan Nurses Association and OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba is all but a done deal.
The final signatures still have to be made, but this ends a one-year dispute between the parties.
The issue was headed to a Labor Relations Board hearing.
That has now been averted.
The settlement includes an extension of the current contract from April 30th, 2012 to April 30th, 2013.
It also includes wage increases, an improvement on bonuses paid to RNs who have reached their maximum hourly rates of pay, a shift differential increase, the reinstatement of Christmas Eve as a paid holiday and paid time off improvements.
The MNA represents 113 registered nurses at the hospital.
It’s been their bargaining agent since 2004.
