THE NUMBERS PLAY OUT THIS WAY FOR THE STATE: FEBRUARY OF 2010: 14 POINT TWO PERCENT JOBLESS RATE. IN FEBRUARY OF THIS YEAR: 11 PERCENT.
IN THE UP, IT’S A SIMILAR DROP. LAST FEBRUARY THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE WAS 14 POINT 1 PERCENT. IN FEBRUARY OF 2011, IT WAS DOWN TO 11 POINT 8 PERCENT.
THE HIGHEST JOBLESS RATES IN THE U–P ARE IN MACKINAC AND BARAGA COUNTIES. THE LOWEST IN MENOMINEE COUNTY
