Marquette Woman named to Michigan Economic Development Corporation
Amy Clickner, chief executive officer of the Lake Superior Community Partnership has recently been asked to serve on the Collaborative Development Council (CDC) for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), representing the UP, with 12 colleagues from across the state.
As the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) continues to reinvent strategies to support job creation in our state, they continue to look toward their local economic development partners for input. The Collaborative Development Council has been established for the purpose of providing strategic direction and programmatic input to the MEDC senior leadership team. The working group is intended to help advance the state of Michigan’s economic development through strengthening the relationships, leveraging the assets and improving the flow of communication and project management between the MEDC and local partners.
“We are beginning to see the benefits of the work that the LSCP has done to establish relationships at the state and national level. I am looking forward to being a part of a collaborative effort across the State and working regionally with my colleagues across the Upper Peninsula.” – Amy Clickner
