6 to 20 Years for Home Invasion & Attempted Rape
A Marquette man will spend 6 to 20 years in prison for the home invasion and attempted rape of a female co–worker.
44–year–old Suranit Imsumran was convicted last month of home invasion, assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder and assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct.
Last February, he broke into a co–worker’s apartment at Whetstone Village in Marquette, carrying a knife.
The victim fought him off, took the knife away from him and stabbed him twice.
Imsumran has to pay restitution to the victim.
And he’ll probably be deported back to his native Thailand after he’s released.
