Negaunee Bar Reopens After License Suspension
A Negaunee bar is open for business again after a license suspension shut it down for most of last week.
The Hard Rock Bar on Iron Street was cited recently by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission for sale-to-minor and sale-to-an-intoxicated-patron violations.
A liquor commission representative told ABC 10 this was the third time the bar had been cited within the last two years, and it flagged the Hard Rock Bar for an automatic suspension.
The establishment could have faced a thousand-dollar fine for each violation.
The bar received a 10-day penalty, and it served 5 of those days last week, Wednesday through Sunday.
The Liquor Control Commission waived the other 5 days of the penalty because the owner and employees completed a commission-approved server training program.
