Gas Prices Up a Penny
Gas prices in Michigan are up this week right in advance of Christmas.
AAA Michigan reports the current statewide average for regular gas is up to $2.99 a gallon.
That’s a change of a penny from last week and 44 cents more than what it cost this time last year.
The lowest gas prices in the state are in the Benton Harbor area, where a gallon of self-serve regular will cost you $2.96.
As they often are, the highest prices are in the Marquette area at $3.07.
AAA Michigan surveys 2,800 gas stations in the state daily.
