Tricky Winter Roads
The recent winter blast has made driving a little bit tricky.
It’s not the snow on the roads, but rather the ice that’s causing problems, especially when drivers use too much speed.
Since the central U.P. received its initial major snowfall this past weekend, accident reports have been pouring in left and right.
Many have been minor accidents that could have been prevented if only the driver slowed down.
The best advice from Trooper Phillip Stanton? Lay off the gas pedal.
He says though the roadways may look clear and good to drive at normal speed conditions, they can be deceiving.
Another tip for drivers this winter is giving yourself enough reaction time between you and the car ahead.
