Accidental Baraga County Shooting
A downstate man is injured in a shooting that police are calling an accident.
State Police from the L’Anse Post say it happened shortly before 10 this morning in Covington Township.
58-year-old Glen Ulbrich of downstate Oxford was partridge hunting at the intersection of North Randolph Road and South Randolph Road.
Police say he was accidentally shot in the lower back with a 20-gauge shotgun.
Ulbrich was taken to Baraga County Memorial Hospital in L’Anse and then to Marquette General.
He was in intensive care at MGH at last report.
