Gas prices up
Just in time for Labor Day weekend, gas prices in Michigan jumped up 2 cents this week. AAA Michigan reports the current statewide average for regular unleaded gas is up to $2.71 a gallon. That’s a 2 cent change from last week and 15 cents more than what it cost this time last year.
The lowest gas prices in the state are in Benton Harbor, Flint and Grand Rapids areas where gas is $2.67 for regular self–serve fuel. The highest gas prices are in Ann Arbor area where gas is $2.76.
Dearborn based AAA Michigan surveys 2,800 gas stations in the state daily.
