2 Weekend Break-Ins, 1 Arrest
One person is arrested and the investigation continues tonight into a weekend break–in at a Big Bay store.
State troopers from the Negaunee Post respond to an alarm at Cram’s Grocery Store in Big Bay.
After viewing the store’s surveillance camera, police were able to get a description of the suspect.
They also found a shoeprint near the window where the suspect entered the building.
Troopers tracked the footprints and later found the suspect hiding in the woods.
The individual was taken to the Marquette County Jail and was scheduled to be arraigned today.
And the State Police are asking for your help in another weekend break–in.
This one was late Friday night into Saturday morning at the Greenwood American Legion hall in Ely Township.
The break–in occurred sometime between midnight and 6:45am.
Suspects gained entry to the building and broke into a number of gaming machines within the hall.
Four safes were taken, along with an undetermined amount of cash.
Damage estimates to the gaming machines are about $6,000.
