Bay Cliff Cleanup Day
It’s Cleanup Day tomorrow at Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay.
And the event is getting help from the newly-formed Superior Health Partners.
You may recall that Superior Health Partners is the new affiliation between Bell Hospital and Marquette General Health System.
The partnership’s missions are to make sure U.P. patients don’t have to leave the U.P. to get the care they need, and to continue to grow the local health care job market.
Tomorrow’s cleanup project is the first community project that employees of both hospitals will be involved in.
Bell marketing manager Dave Edwards and MGH contact center manager Mary Lynch both say their employees are already familiar with the needs of the kids who benefit from visits to Bay Cliff.
Bay Cliff is a year-round, nonprofit therapy and wellness center for kids and adults with physical disabilities.
The staff works with them on skills necessary for independent living.
Among the chores — painting, cleaning and yard work.
Several dozen employees from both Bell and Marquette General are signed up.
Retirees from the hospitals, and anyone else who wants to lend a hand, are more than welcome to help out.
The cleanup begins at 9am at Bay Cliff.
