New Help for U.P Small Businesses
A newly-opened company in Marquette is trying to help small businesses grow themselves.
It’s by helping them do a better job finding potential customers.
It’s called Zattachat, and this is its first week in business.
Its goal is to get local business owners communicating with one another, and have them explore local advertising, in ways they may not have done before.
One of its co-owners was behind the creation of Marquette’s E-Loft last year.
Christi Pentecost says an example she likes to use is that if you sell baby clothes, it wouldn’t make sense for you to buy ads in a business magazine.
She says it’s all about learning who your customers are and how you can reach them.
They have an idea for what Pentecost calls the Zattacard — a AAA card of sorts for businesses.
Nonprofits will be able to raise money by selling the cards.
Buyers would get discounts at local businesses.
If you want to know more about Zattachat, you can visit them at Masonic Square, you can call them at 869-4477, or you can visit them online.
