Drug Trial Moved Up for Kingsford Dentist
A Kingsford dentist’s trial on federal drug charges has been moved up.
Robert D’Amour has a final pre-trial conference scheduled for June 15th, with his trial slated for June 21st.
The trial had been scheduled for July 12th.
D’Amour is accused of distributing a mixture of several medications to at least 8 different people.
Federal officials say this was outside the usual course of his practice and for no legitimate medical purpose.
The 50 counts against him stretch from June 2005 to May 2007.
The Marquette U.S. Attorney’s Office has said the drugs involved are the painkillers oxycodone and hydrocodone, and the anti-anxiety drug diazepam, which is commonly known as Valium.
