School Flu Closings Finally Tapering Off
Many school districts throughout the region have been closed in the last 2 weeks or so.
But we may have finally reached the end of the line with those.
Lots of kids have been sick with the flu.
And many parents whose kids haven’t been sick have been keeping their kids home anyway out of concern they might catch it.
There was only one district shut down this week, Wakefield-Marenisco over in Gogebic County.
The district offices have been closed all week, just like the classrooms have been.
That means there was no one in them to answer our phone calls, asking to speak with someone about the situation.
