Special Olympics Torch Run
It’ll be a good idea to watch out for the shoulder of US-41 and M-28 for the next day or so.
Police and others are making their way across most of Michigan to raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics.
It’s the annual Michigan Law Enforcement Torch Run.
The run covers 750 miles in just over 4 days.
It kicked off in Copper Harbor at noon, and it should be on US-41 near Hancock by now.
The relay will go through Baraga County overnight, making its way through Marquette County tomorrow morning.
It passes through Munising and Seney tomorrow afternoon, reaching Newberry tomorrow night.
The runners then go to the Soo Wednesday morning before heading south to St. Ignace and the Mackinac Bridge.
The Torch Run wraps up in downstate Sterling Heights on Friday.
