Alcohol Sellers Training
Local businesses are realizing the seriousness of underage drinking thanks to a program offered by the Marquette County Health Department. The Marquette County Health Department is offering free training to all off premise establishments in Marquette county. Unlike restaurants and bars, off premise establishments are not mandated by the state to take a training course, so many employees and managers don’t fully know the full responsibility to selling alcohol.
With the increase in the number of drunk driving incidents and underage drinking, the training is extremely important. Already a number of establishments have used the free training program and many are surprised that they can be sued if they sell alcohol to a visibly intoxicated person that later gets into a traffic accident, resulting in a casualty.
