Ishpeming Lays Out City Goals
The Ishpeming City Council holds a strategic planning workship to discuss future goals for the city.
Replacing sidewalks, along with roads and storm drains, was one of the main concerns.
The Downtown Development Authority discussed bringing in business and jobs to the city, along with possible bike paths.
The DDA also brought up future bike paths and racks, and a future pedestrian crossing at the US-41/Jubilee Foods intersection.
The fire department’s current vehicles are a safety concern, and the department brought up the possibility of an aerial fire truck.
The library committee also brought up the need for handicap accessibility and the possibility of a district library with Negaunee.
