More Ishpeming Break-Ins
Just when Ishpeming police were questioning their prime suspect in the recent church break-ins, the situation becomes a lot more complicated.
Buck’s Restaurant and the Cental U.P. Food Bank were both broken into yesterday, but nothing was stolen.
Police say they arrested a 19-year-old male late yesterday for robbing Bethel Lutheran Church over the weekend.
However, Chief Jim Bjorne says while officers were questioning him, someone else robbed Trinity Lutheran Church.
The 19-year-old is facing a larceny from a building charge, which is a maximum-4-year felony.
He’s also believed to know something about the break-in at the Food Bank.
State police think the young man is involved in the robbery of St. Joseph’s Church in Ishpeming Township, but he hasn’t been charged with anything there yet, or with anything related to the Food Bank.
