MDDA launches Digital Downtown Marquette to easily find status and hours of local businesses

MARQUETTE — With most local businesses adjusting their hours of operation and services available in accordance with COVID–19 regulations, it can be hard to keep track of what’s available and when. The Marquette Downtown Development Authority has created a web page that puts all that information in one place.

Digital Downtown Marquette provides an extensive list of businesses located in the Downtown area along with their hours, current services offered, and contact information. All the information listed is self–reported by local businesses, and the list will be updated regularly.

Not only will this provide consumers with the most up-to-date and accurate information about their favorite local businesses, but it gives the community an opportunity to continue supporting these businesses during this economically challenging time.

“Those people are our friends and our neighbors,” said MDDA Promotions & Events Coordinator Tara Laase-McKinney. “We want to make sure that we’re supporting them through tough times like this, because in general, everyday terms, they’re the ones who are supporting us. So now they’re out there looking to make sure that we’re supporting them as well. So this is a great way for people to be able to be able to do that by buying gift cards, ordering things online, or having stuff delivered to their house. It’s a great way to show your support for local.”

Digital Downtown Marquette will be maintained until the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order is lifted. You can access Digital Downtown Marquette by clicking here. You can connect with the MDDA on their Facebook page.
