Copper Country Great Start Collaborative holds job fair for early childhood services
HANCOCK — A job fair focused on early childhood and human service employment positions was held at the Michigan Works office in Hancock.
The fair was free and open to the public and it featured multiple employers from organizations across the U.P. with several positions available.
“There has been a shortage of qualified applications in the early childhood job field,” explained Iola Brubaker, Copper Country Great Start Collaborative. “If we can fill those positions, it will allow us to offer more daycare spots, additional services to families, and it will allow us to support the families in the Copper Country more effectively. That is only if we have the right staff in the positions we need.”
If you were unable to be a part of the fair today you can still look at opportunities by getting in touch with the CCGSC by clicking here for more information.
