Sponsors needed for Gus Macker Basketball Tournament
ISHPEMING — It was a staple in the UP for years. Now, the Gus Macker basketball tournament is finally returning.
As preparations continue for the 3–on–3 basketball tournament, the Greater Negaunee–Ishpeming Chamber of Commerce is looking for businesses to help make the event a success.
“For businesses, we’re feeling that it’s an opportunity for them to participate in a community event, to get their businesses noticed and recognized, and invite the people from visiting areas to find what we have offered here in the west end,” said Bob Hendrickson, executive director of the GNICC.
Preparations for the tournament began back in October of 2018.
The event is looking for sponsors for everything from food to volunteers.
