Weather-related closures happening in Marquette
MARQUETTE — Marquette is experiencing some weather-related closures this week, and some will remain closed until Spring.
Lakeshore Boulevard between Hawley and Wright streets is still closed to through traffic after the storms that hit the area last week. It will be announced once the closure is lifted.
The Household Rubbish site and Compost site will be open as scheduled, but can only be accessed through the Wright Street entrance.
Some rental facilities and grounds in Marquette will be closing for the season on November 1st, including the Presque Isle Band shell, the Presque Isle Gazebo, the Presque Isle Senior Pavilion and the Presque Isle Island Store Pavilion. The Presque Isle Pavilion will still be available for rent throughout the winter. The road around Presque Isle will remain open as weather conditions permit.
