Local Business on Show for Ladies Night Out
Now that opening day has rolled around again, it’s another night for residents of the Ishpeming to hit Main Street.
And it’s helping to bringing business and positive energy to the city.
It’s another annual ladies night out in Ishpeming today. Many businesses across the city and even by the highway are celebrating in a variety of different ways. The event started at 1 P.M., but Door prizes, food, raffles, deals, wine tasting and more available in a number of different businesses in the city until eight P.M tonight.
For some people it’s a way to promote a positive image of the city.
“One of the things for our business is that it is a way to promote our community and to, I would say enhance the image of our community,” said David Aeh, owner of Main Street Antique Mall, “and get people to get out of their cars, walk around in the town and see what we have to offer.”
Shopper Rene Goyen, “This is my second or third time coming, I think…so…I love it.”
The event is put on every year by the Ishpeming Business Association in conjunction with the Marquette Downtown Development Authority.
