Christmas tree drop-off sites open in Marquette

MARQUETTE — Properties paying the “Garbage” fee on their monthly bills (green bag users) are eligible to use the City’s Christmas tree drop-off sites.  Owners and tenants of properties not paying the fee should contact their regular waste hauler for service. These sites are supported by fees, not taxes.

Through Jan. 14, there will be two drop-off sites available for Christmas tree disposal.

One site is located at the west end of the Lakeview Arena parking lot.  Please place the tree inside the orange fencing.

The second site is located east of 850 W. Baraga Ave.  Access can be obtained from Baraga Avenue or from West Spring Street.  Please place the tree inside the orange fencing.

Please remove all decorations and stands before disposing of trees.
