Meth lab found in Baraga Co.
The latest discovery of a meth lab in the Upper Peninsula has been reported in L’Anse Township.
Michigan State Police from the Calumet Post say they received an anonymous tip about the lab on Friday.
When they arrived, three people fled the scene, but police were able to arrest a fourth suspect.
Officers found an active meth lab inside the residence, and the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team cleaned it up.
The three suspects who fled have been identified, and police are seeking charges against them.
The Baraga County Sheriff’s Department, the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Police and the L’Anse Police Department also assisted at the scene.
The State Police suggest calling 911 immediately if you think you’ve found a meth lab or meth lab components.
Police say the chemicals should not be handled because they’re highly toxic.
