The Annual Bass Fest is coming to Crystal Falls this weekend.

The free family– friendly event has a busy line–up.

It kicks off with a parade at 10 am on Saturday at the Forest Park School.

Dorris Cornwell, Bigfoot Hideaway Motel Manager and Lions Club Member stated “the canoe races kick-off on Saturday. There’s crafts and on both Saturday and Sunday Iron County’s Health Department will have a lactation tent and a Covid tent for shots: volleyball, horseshoe, and fishing tournaments and you can fish anywhere in Iron County and bring your fish back to be weighed.”

The Bass Fest tradition is hosted by the local Lions Club in conjunction with The Bigfoot Hide–Away.

Events include volleyball and baseball games, music, a fishing competition, and a run your Bass off Race.

Other activities include live music, softball, a craft fair, and many different foods including chicken dinners, strawberry shortcake, and a beer wagon.

“Come early; stay late and bring your swimsuit because Runkle Lake is open and it’s beautiful. Bring a healthy attitude, a bright spirit, and a hungry belly for all the foods that will be very, very yummy.”

She added that Bigfoot himself may make an appearance.
