Two Marenisco Residents Await Arraignment

MARENISCO TOWNSHIP, Mich – Two people in Marenisco Township are awaiting arraignment after being stopped at a traffic stop over the weekend.

Michigan State Police Troopers stopped a vehicle traveling 102 mph in a 65 mph zone.

The driver of the vehicle was a 37–year–old homeless woman.

She was under the influence of a drug, had no drivers license and was in possession of illegal brass knuckles. She also had a drug related warrant out of the state of Montana.

The woman was charged for OUID, Use of Methamphetamine, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Reckless Driving.

The passenger in the car was a 35–year–old Wisconsin man who was in the Possession of Methamphetamine and related paraphernalia.

He was lodged for Use of Methamphetamine, Possession of Suspected Methamphetamine and Violation of Probation out of Vilas city, Wisconsin.

The individuals are being lodged at the Gogebic County Sherriff’s Department.
