Room for volunteers
MARQUETTE, Mich. (WBUP) — An emergency homeless shelter for residents in Marquette County is desperately looking for supplies and volunteers.
Since 2007, Room at the Inn has provided food, shelter and assistance at its warming center in Downtown Marquette.
The non-profit organization helps our neighbors transition out of homelessness and the group is looking for volunteers to help the organization continue to succeed.
If you are unable to volunteer, Nick Emmendorfer encourages people to donate money or supplies to help provide services to the homeless population in the community.
The Executive Director of Room at the Inn went on to say that after establishing The Warming Center in Downtown Marquette, they are hoping to further provide guests with the ability to permanently transition out of homelessness.
