Feeding America Through Ishpeming
ISHPEMING, Mich. – Despite cold temperatures, volunteers were outside NorthIron Church for Feeding America and those who are food insecure.
Volunteers filled boxes with a variety of foods and then loaded them into cars as people drove through the line.
Volunteer Diane Gauthier says, “It’s important year round, and with the time we are going through. With everyone being closed in and everything it seems to be growing at this point and time.”
The volunteers packed nearly 400 boxes into cars in just the one hour of operation and they did will a smile on their face.
“The community loves this and they come out here with smiles on their faces and are excited to help out.”
