Mill Creek to hold classic car parade for Father’s Day
MARQUETTE — A local nursing home is hosting a car parade, one specifically for dads.
Mill Creek Senior Living Community is hosting a classic car parade for this coming Father’s Day.
With COVID–19 still prevalent in the area, the assisted living community wanted a way to celebrate their fathers in a safe way.
“Well, we figured because we are under lock and key at the moment still due to our coronavirus issues, that the only way for our family and friends and the community to give a little shout-out to our fathers that live here is to give their support by running around and honking horns,” said Laycee Mattson, Assistant Activities Coordinator for Mill Creek.
Mill Creek is encouraging people with classic cars to attend, although cars of any kind are welcome to join.
No registration is required to participate, although participants are encouraged to decorate their cars and make signs.
The parade will take place this Sunday at 2 p.m.
