Arrest made in connection with 2016 and 2018 shootings at Stephenson Road Commission
MENOMINEE COUNTY — At 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in connection with the shootings at the Stephenson Road Commission building that occurred in February of 2016 and April of 2018.
68-year-old Raymond Lee Betters of Powers, Michigan was arrested for making terroristic threats and aggravated stalking. Both are felony offenses.
Betters is a former employee of the Menominee County Road Commission. He was lodged in the Menominee County Jail and is being held on a $50,000 cash bond. The arrest was assisted by the forensic scientists of the Michigan State Police Crime Laboratory.
