UPAWS hosting ‘Share the Love Event’ on August 17th
MARQUETTE COUNTY — UPAWS received a grant from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, more commonly known as the ASPCA.
The $3,300 grant was awarded through the ASPCA & Subaru Share the Love Shelter-Dealership program. UPAWS and Fox Subaru will collaborate and organize a one-day public adoption event.
Where all adoption fees for the event will be waived and there are plenty of animals looking for homes as well.
“Really wonderful kitty cats that are up for adoption,” said Ann Brownell, Community Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator. “I know in the system we have about 120 cats. Some of them are in foster care and are not available. We will have a great selection here at UPAWS. We have a lot of guinea pigs, bunnies, birds and quite a few dogs.”
The event will be happening this Saturday, August 17th, from noon to 5 pm.
