Fox Motors surprises customers by filling their tanks

ISHPEMING — Paying for gas can sometimes be a pain, especially around the holiday weekends when the prices can change in an instant. But customers of one local dealership got a surprise when they got to fill up their tanks on someone else’s dime.

Managers and salesmen from Fox Motors were out working the pumps at local Holiday Gas stations this morning to surprise customers by filling up their tanks. It was part of their “Fox Fuels the Fourth” giveaway, which took place in several locations around the county and state, with employees from Fox Negaunee working the pumps in both Negaunee and Ishpeming.

“Basically we had about $1,000 here, and $1,000 in Negaunee, worth of gas to give away to our customers,” said Fox Motors Sales Consultant Jerry Taylor. “Anyone that pulled up in a vehicle, no matter if it was brand new or preowned when they bought it from us, doesn’t matter what brand, as long as it had the Fox Motors logo or Fox Motors plate decal on it, we filled them up at no cost to them.”

The giveaway was the company’s way to say thank you to their customers, and give a little back before the holiday weekend.

“For us, this was absolutely huge here today,” Taylor said. “To see the smiles on people’s faces when they pulled up and realized they didn’t have to pay for gas today. They didn’t have to spend 40, 50, 60, 70 dollars on gas today. We took care of that, they take care of us every day. And again, this was just a small piece of what we could do to say thank you to our loyal customers here at Fox Motors.”

The news came as a big surprise for customers that got their tanks filled, and Fox Motors wanted to thank the Holiday Gas Stations for helping making this giveaway happen.
