Music event held to benefit local Special Olympics

MARQUETTE — On Friday night, December 14, the second night of the 2018 Scene & Reheard event was held at Marquette Mountain.

This three night musical fundraiser is being held for Special Olympics Area 36.

Those who attend can participate in a silent auction, ugly sweater contest, and more.

“So all funds raised at tonight’s event –and tomorrow night’s event and last night’s event – help Area 36 programming to provide year–round sports to our athletes and children with intellectual disabilities. And give them the opportunity to socialize, show their skills, and just intermingle with the public” said Area 36 Director, Pamela Bahrman.

All donations for the event will go directly to Special Olympics Area 36.

Saturday is the last day for the event and it begins at 8 p.m.

If you would like to attend the last day of the event, it will be held at the Chalet at Marquette Mountain

Saturday’s bands will be; Joel and the Good Boys, Triple Scott and Wrecking Ball.

The event is from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and there is a $5 donation requested at the door.
