NEGAUNEE — This weekend will provide the perfect opportunity to spend the day in Negaunee and pay tribute to the city’s heritage.

Hanna’s Tea Times and the Downtown Negaunee Business Association are hosting the Fancy Iron Flea market this Saturday, August 11th, at the end of Iron Street from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. Hundreds of products will be available for purchase, including Antiques, repurposed items, vintage pieces, Industrial and handmade items and more.

“It’s a great combination, and that’s what we’re hoping to provide to the customer coming in is have fun, shop till you drop and look for a special treasure. We’re also doing a tribute to the Iron Ore industry, so we’re going to have tributes to the Michigan Iron Industry Museum as well as the Negaunee Historical Museum.”

Patrons who wear mining attire or clothing from the 1840s will be entered to win a prize at the end of the event.
