New composite photo of homicide suspect to be released
MARINETTE COUNTY — Recent advancements in DNA technology has allowed investigators to come up with a new composite photo of a suspect in the July 9, 1976 double homicide at McClintock Park in northwestern Marinette County.
The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office will hold a press conference on the 42nd anniversary of the murders, Monday, July 9th at 2:00 P.M. at the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office.
On July 9th, 1976, David Shuldes, 25, and his girlfriend, Ellen Matheys, 24, were on a walk in the park when Shuldes was shot and killed. Matheyes was found dead in the woods outside the park, and had been sexually assaulted and then shot to death.
