Marquette City Commission forum to be held late July

MARQUETTE — A Candidate Forum for the Marquette City Commission will be held Wednesday, July 25th in the Marquette City Commission Chambers at City Hall.

There will be eight candidates running for two open seats most recently held by commissioners Mike Plourde and Jenna Smith, who are looking to retain their spots.

Voters throughout the city of Marquette will vote for their top two choices during the primary elections on august 7th. The top four candidates will advance to the general election, held on November 6th.

The forum is sponsored by the Marquette County Unit of the League of Women Voters of Delta County.
