US-2/US-41 project from Gladstone to Rapid River to begin June 4th
DELTA COUNTY — The US-2/US-41 reconstruction project from Gladstone to Rapid River will begin on June 4th.
The $5.5 million project will reconstruct 5.5 miles of westbound US-2/US-41. Work includes asphalt surfacing; concrete curb and gutter reconstruction; culvert, guardrail and sign installation; and pavement markings.
The project is covered by a five-year pavement warranty. The same construction on the eastbound lanes is scheduled for 2020.
One lane will be open in each direction on the eastbound side of the highway. The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph for the duration of the project. An 11-foot width restriction will also be in effect in the work zone.
The project is estimated to be completed on September 28th, 2018. To view a project map, click HERE.
